Doug Pauly brings “Doug & The Cover Girls“ to the Side Door at The Fifth String on Saturday, February 22 from 7:00-9:30 pm.
The five member group includes Doug Pauly (guitar), Jeanne Munoz (vocals), Erin Costa (vocals), Mike Crain (cajon and hand percussion) and Kerry Kashiwagi (bass) performing music stylistically ranging from rhythm and blues to contemporary popular tunes mixed into a jazzy musical gumbo. It has been described as the next generation of The Great American Songbook.
The band features music from the 1960’s to the present. Doug’s distinctive guitar stylings underpin Jeanne and Erin’s wide ranging vocal interpretations, bringing joy to the hearts of listeners of all ages.
Gnarls Barkley, Ray Charles, Tom Waits, The Beatles, Twisted Pine, Sharon Jones, Dolly Parton, Fiona Apple, Hozier, The Alabama Shakes, The Arctic Monkeys, Rhiannah, The Black Keys, Jimmy Cliff, Bonnie Raitt and Blondie are a short list of performers represented in their repertoire.

Sacramento’s most exciting Mardi Gras party is BACK!
In it’s seventh year, the traditional New Orleans celebration is casting it’s glow on the Capitol City.
People of all ages and “walks” of life come together and dance their way through the streets of Midtown in celebration of FAT TUESDAY, complete with a traditional second line with Element Brass Band. The parade starts at Mulvaney’s Building and Loan making it’s first stop at Kasbah, then it’s on for a quick pause at Easy on I, ending at the Torch Club for a NO COVER evening of live music and drink specials till midnight!
Costumes, beads, feathers and good cheer follow this every growing crowd and attendees are encouraged to dress to the nines, wear comfy shoes and be ready to make a few new friends along the way!
